Job Description:
In this role, you will be instrumental in forging new business leads and maintaining relationships with new and existing businesses and partners, enabling them to access Lendi’s products and services.
Your role will be focused on contributing to new business sales (50% of the time) through hunting, specifically physical and phone/email-based prospecting and convincing new businesses to consume Lendi’s products and services. You will also work with businesses as an account manager (50% of the time) – helping them to leverage Lendi’s services by ensuring they understand Lendi’s products, services, systems, and tools. Lastly, you will be responsible for using feedback from the businesses to identify opportunities to improve Lendi’s products, services, processes, systems, and tools.
Responsibilities
- Sales: Identify, prospect, and recruit high-potential businesses through Physical Visits and via phone and email.
- Presentation: Making both physical and virtual product presentations to potential Lendi customers.
- Account Management: Managing the company’s customers by overseeing the portfolios of assigned customers and building long-term mutually beneficial relationships with the customer.
- Pipeline Management: Effectively prioritize and manage a pipeline of customers to consistently meet/exceed quarterly targets.
- Educating Customers: Work closely with new businesses, educating them about Lendi’s products and services.
- Market Analysis: Regularly analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and customer preferences to inform business strategies and contribute to the company’s products continuous improvement.
- Promotion and Advocacy: Promote the benefits of partnering with Lendi to potential businesses, demonstrating how our platform can help them and their employees.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, customer service, and product development, ensuring alignment in strategies and objectives for maximum business impact and growth.
- Reporting and Evaluation: Track, analyze, and report on business performance and contributions, using insights to drive improvement and innovation.
- Other Responsibilities:
a. Serve as the lead point of contact for customer account management matters.
b. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
c. Ensure customers’ needs and demands are well-communicated.
d. Ensure customer issues and queries are addressed in a timely fashion.
e. Forecasts and tracks vital account metrics
f. Manage projects within customer relationships, working to carry out customer goals while meeting company goals.
g. Identifies opportunities to grow business with new and existing customers.
h. Communicate in a timely and clear manner the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal stakeholders.
i. Prepare monthly reports on account status and business performance.
j. Ensure that customer complaints are investigated and promptly resolved across all channels.
k. Act on behalf of and perform any other duties that the Head of Business may assign.
Required Competency and Skillset.
- Experience in Sales, Business, Marketing, or a related field is required, and a bachelor’s degree is optional.
- Proven experience in partnership development, finance, or a related role.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic business partnerships.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
- Passion for innovation and continuous improvement, with a customer-centric approach.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the organisation’s product and service offerings.
